Congratulations to Lewis Clareburt on his selection for Commonwealth Youth Games 2017 in the Bahamas.

Three Capital swimmers have also been selected to represent New Zealand at the State Teams Age Group Championships in September this year.

Five golds in the pool from Capital Swim Club's / Lyall Bay Surf Life Saving Club's Samantha Lee has firmly secured her the honour of having the single best performance of any Kiwi surf lifesaving athlete at a world championship event. She was just one of our clubbies that took part in the Interclub competition at #Rescue2016 that just concluded in The Netherlands. Congratulations to them all on their outstanding performances. Over 80 club swimmers converged at the Wellington Regional Aquatic Centre (WRAC) to attend their usual Wednesday evening training lessons – with a difference! Supported by Head Coach Gary Hollywood, his coaching team and senior squad swimmers, our very own and most current Olympian, Emma Robinson, returned from Rio to give back to the Club by putting our swimmers through their paces in a fun, learning, and energetic manner. Watching poolside were also various media journalists from the Dominion Post, Stuff, Cook Strait News, and club parents.
