Capital takes out senior division of Signature Series 04/02/2014 06:45pm

Capital has won the senior division of the 2013 Signature Series swimming competition.

The Signature Series is an inter club competition for swimmers in the Wellington region.  Its aim is to give swimmers the chance to qualify in each of the strokes and distances swum at regional and national meets.

Every year clubs in the region are allocated a Signature meet to design and run. The meets are usually held at the Wellington Regional Aquatic Centre.

A point system is used to reward swimmers for their placings and the club for the number of participants.

The competition is divided into a 12 and under division and a senior division, with trophies and prize money of $500 for each winning club up for grabs every year.
