2016 New Zealand Junior Championships, February 2016 – Capital Swim Club’s Results
A total of 20 junior swimmers from Capital Swim Club converged on the Sir Owen G Glenn National Aquatic Centre in Auckland to compete at the 2016 NZ Junior Championships on 19-21 February 2016. A total of 8 individual medals (4 Gold, 1 silver, and 3 Bronze), 1 relay medal, and many personal bests were achieved by the team. Congratulations to ALL swimmers!! Once again a huge thank you to all parents who worked tirelessly to fundraise to get the swimmers to this meet.
Our medal winners included:
- Tamrah Titcombe (11 years) - 3 Gold (200m Individual Medley, 100 and 200m Backstroke) and 2 bronze (200m and 100m freestyle) medals.
- Anna Tirikatene (11 years) – 1 Gold (50m Freestyle) and 1 Silver (50m Backstroke), plus a Silver medal in the Girls 12 and under 200m Freestyle relay
- Gianpasquale Moreno (10 years) – 1 bronze medal (100m Butterfly).
